Lesson 01 of 4 / Context

What should AI know before it helps with my business?

Start with a small, representative pack you already trust. Ten files is the PickBits starter default; authority and relevance matter more than volume.

Build starter source folder 8 min PickBits working session

Your move

Gather ten files AI should know

Start with the material you already trust instead of asking AI to guess.

Use this rule

Start with a small, representative pack you already trust. Ten files is the PickBits starter default; authority and relevance matter more than volume.

Do this now

Three moves, in order.

  1. Choose real examples, current policies, product or service facts, audience language, and a good finished artifact.
  2. Remove duplicates, secrets, personal data, and files you do not have permission to use.
  3. Record owner, date, and purpose for every source.

Build the artifact

Starter source folder

Copy these fields into a note, document, or sheet you already use.

Source File or record
Teaches What AI may learn from it
Owner Who can approve or update it
Sensitivity Public, internal, confidential, restricted, or exclude

Give AI the bounded job

Prompt from your artifact—not from vibes.

Inventory these sources. Do not summarize confidential content. Flag duplicates, conflicting versions, missing owners, old dates, and material that should not enter an AI system.

Before you use it

The work leaves your hands only when:

  • Each source has a business purpose and owner.
  • Sensitive or unauthorized material is excluded.
  • The pack includes at least one approved good example.
