What should interrupt me—and what should not?

Your move

Review exceptions, not every step

Route unusual cases to a person while normal work follows the approved rule.

Use this rule

Review exceptions, not every normal step. Name the conditions that stop the workflow, the evidence it must show, and the person who decides what happens next.

Do this now

Three moves, in order.

  1. List missing inputs, conflicting records, unusual amounts, sensitive topics, and failed checks.
  2. For each exception, name stop, ask, retry, or escalate as the next move.
  3. Create one digest for normal work and immediate alerts only for cases that truly cannot wait.

Owner Who makes the decision

Give AI the bounded job

Prompt from your artifact—not from vibes.

Build an exception table from these conditions. Do not create new thresholds. Route ordinary completions to a digest and unresolved, sensitive, external, or irreversible cases to the named owner.

Before you use it

The work leaves your hands only when:

  • Every stop has a named next action.
  • The reviewer sees the source and draft, not only an alert.
  • A normal case can finish without unnecessary interruption.
